YLD OBA Ottawa 2010 Goals:
  1. Resource Development & Fundraising
    • $5,000 from (1) Ottawa law firms, (2) Other community-minded corporations
    • Collection of Neighbourhood Day raffle items (see #4 and #6).
  2. Office Promotion
    • 5 - 10 YLD members commit to promoting Timeraiser in their office with corporate kits (corporate kits will be mailed out Sept 2010)
    • Goal to raise awareness in these offices to sell tickets to Timeraiser.
    • Provide list of these members and mailing address by August 27, 2010
  3. Timeraiser Ticket Sales
    • 50 Timeraiser participants use YLD OBA corporate code (summary report will be made available post Timeraiser)
    • email campaign for YLD OBA members ready for October 5th, 2010
  4. Community Day
    • YLD OBA granted full planning/implementation of neighbourhood Day including recruiting day of volunteers.  Framework Foundation will provide orientation materials in advance.
    • Framework Foundation to support any logistical needs plus finances (budget $300) for breakfast, supplies
    • Goal to target 8 neighbourhoods totaling 125 stores, requiring minimum 2 volunteers/neighbourhood.
    • YLD to manage any in-kind donation of product/service offered by businesses including follow-up, collection, recognition.
  5. Kick Off Celebration
    • 5 YLD members help in organizing/volunteering night of event
    • Responsible for recruitment and RSVP of 20 firm partners/corporate leaders and 10 YLD members
  6. Timeraiser Volunteers
    • 5-10 YLD members to act as volunteers night of Timeraiser, Saturday Nov 13
    • Names and contact info of volunteers to be confirmed with Framework Foundation by November 1st 
    • YLD to determine manner in which collected raffle items will be distributed at Timeraiser by September 1st

[A] Fundraising deadlines:

  1. July 30, 2010 - Deadline for logo placement in print material (i.e., flyers/posters)
  2. November 5, 2010 - Deadline for firms/corporations to submit top 3 artwork selections (for delivery post Timeraiser)
  3. November 5, 2010 - Deadline for logo placement on event materials (i.e. agency posters)
  4. Monday November 16 - Wednesday November 18 - Delivery of artwork to sponsoring firms/corporations

[B] Kick Off Night Celebration:
(Main Contact: Kick off night Liaison, Karen Perron & Lisa Barnet)
  1. Tuesday October 5th, 2010 (TBC) at TBD
  2. August 30 - September 10 - Develop guest list
  3. Mon. Sept 13 - Fri. Sept 17 - Invitations sent to guest list

  1. Saturday October 23rd, Location TBD
  2. September 6th - confirm breakfast location
  3. September 6th - begin recruiting volunteers
  4. 2 weeks before Neighbourhood Day - expense list including cost of breakfast, event supplies (Budget $300)
[D] Night of Timeraiser
(Main Contact: Timeraiser Night Liaison, TBD)
  1. November 9th - volunteer orientation video
  2. November 1, 2010 - final list and contact info for night -of volunteer to Framework Foundation
Confirmation of Sponsorship Support - Work Flow
  1. Verbal confirmation
    • Notify firm of next steps: Framework Staff will contact them to arrange logistical details around logos, artwork, etc
  2. Send email to main contact and cc Theresa Wetzel (theresa@timeraiser.ca). Include following in this email:
    1. Firm name, amount ($), contact name
    2. Framework staff will be in touch with an invoice and agreement
      • Cheque payable to Framework Foundation, charitable #  89874 5609 RR0001, 2 Carlton St., Suite 600, Toronto ON, M5B 1J3
    3. In the meantime, they can send Theresa a copy of their logo (preferably and eps version)
  3. Once support is confirmed, Framework Foundation will issue an official receipt of donation and follow up regarding selecting artwork, dropping off artwork, special guest invitations.
  4. Framework Foundation will correspond with sponsors to arrange logos, drop off of art, tickets on sale and corporate code for staff.
  5. YLD is responsible for sending Kick Off night invite
